Kapolei House

Although we have recently moved onto Hickam Air Force Base, here are some pictures of the house we lived in for 6 months in Kapolei. I know this is really late, but some people wanted to see the house, so here it is! Maybe in the next 6 months I will post pics of the house we are currently living in!

Happy Birthday Ava!

Today Ava turns 3! I can't believe my baby is three years old! In honor of her birthday, I'm going to dedicate this post to her! Love you!
Ava Elizabeth Brown- born November 22, 2006. 8 pounds, 5 oz. Ava spent 7 days in the NICU so she could be treated with antibiotics. The day after I took her home it started raining and Illinois got hit with the big "ice storm of 2006!" Jeremy was in Texas and had a hard time getting home, but finally made it back to my parents around 3am that Friday morning. We started packing and headed to Oklahoma on Saturday to Vance Air Force Base. She definitely had a crazy beginning!

This is Ava's first 4th of July! Here she is about 7 1/2 months old!

Bunch-O-Pictures

These were taken at Ava's school the week of Valentine's Day.

7 Months Already!!

Ella and Thalia turned 7 months old a week ago today, and I can't believe it! I also took them in for their "6 month" check-up last week, and here are their stats:

Ella weighed 20 lbs, 6 oz and is 27.65 inches long. Thalia weighed 17 lbs, 15 oz and is 27.95 inches long.

They are getting so big so quickly! They are both crawling and sitting up. Ella is even pulling up and standing up!! She's so strong, it's amazing. Ella and Thalia both are such good babies- I've really been blessed! It's so neat to watch them explore and grow everyday. They are both very curious and love getting into everything. Here are some pics I took on their "birthday."

Is this normal?

Several weeks ago I was at the commissary buying some things, and I needed to get some lotion. There was a woman standing in front of the kind that I wanted to get, so I just waited patiently until she moved. I saw her pick up the brand of lotion I was going to buy, open it up, put some on her hands, put the bottle back down and walk away....while rubbing in the lotion she had just put on her hands. I stood there thinking, "did she really just do that?" I went and grabbed a bottle that was towards the back. Word to the wise- never buy the lotion/deodorant/shampoo/liquid soap that is right up front on the shelf- you never know who's been sampling!!

A Day at the Park

Last Thursday it was about 75 degrees here, so I decided to venture out with the girls and take them to the park. Ava wanted to swing the entire time, so I set the girls out on the ground on a towel.

We were only there about 45 minutes when I realized it was time to go when I saw this:

Ella had passed out where she was sitting. So, I loaded Ava and Thalia into the wagon and off we went. Thalia was still pretty happy.

I got them home, put Ella to bed and gave Ava some lunch. I also fed Thalia and put her down for a nap. When I came back out to see if Ava was ready to get out of her chair, this is what I found:

Needless to say, the fresh air must have got to them- everyone was out for several hours!
